We support experimental-aircraft development and applications for EMS, under-served-rural-communities, native-Americans, border-patrol, forestry-management, educational purposes, etc. (After initially incorporating in KY to form a single 501(c)(3), we dissolved that entity for a simplified form creating two entirely self-financed, private-philanthropies. A Vanguard National Trust account has been setup for each making annual-grants for specific experimental-aviation-related projects in conjunction with the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. Foundation [EAA] in Oshkosh, WI., the eVTOL organization, San Diego Air & Space Museum and similar organizations. Elizabeth Dunn is my Estate Administrator & Executor, David L. Bender is my healthcare proxy and KMK Law is my legal advisor.

Chief Executive Officer

RYSE Aero Technologies · Full-time June 2021 - April 2024 - [3-yrs until belly-up and theft of my $5,000 deposit that should have been held in a bank escrow account, as they claimed!]

“RYSE Aero Technologies is re-imagining electrified-air-mobility by bringing advanced artificial-intelligence and extensive eVTOL-expertise to the ultralight-class-of-aviation-vehicles. With a team built to design and manufacture innovative designs at an affordable-cost, RYSE is designing the safest, most reliable ultralight vehicle there is.”

Mick Kowitz is a self-claimed-expert in artificial-intelligence and natural-language-processing, holding 14 patents in these fields. His work spans over-30-years in the healthcare and technology-sectors, where he has significantly contributed to speech recognition and healthcare systems. Notably, Kowitz served as the Chief Technology Officer at ZixCorp from 2001 to 2003 and was a co-founder of ClinGenuity, a clinical regulatory software company that was sold to Arsenal Capital in 2014. He also co-founded MobileVoiceControl, which was acquired by Nuance Communications in 2006.

Mick Kowitz was the President and CEO of Ryse Aero Technologies, a defunct company based in Mason, Ohio. The firm focused on developing electric-vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft, specifically targeting the agricultural-sector with machines that can be flown without-a-pilot’s-license. This initiative reflects his interest in making advanced air mobility accessible and practical for everyday tasks, particularly in farming and ranching.

If you need to contact him, you can try to reach out via Ryse Aero Technologies, as I’ve done endlessly, but you won’t get any reply! The company's contact details include a phone number, 513-318-9907, and an email, This email address is being protected from spambots. It may all end here with my 12ga shotgun and this beanbag-munition, that I just ordered, as recommended by the Kenton County Sheriff’s officer when I asked him: “What should be my next-step!” He suggested this. We know how to deal with these types here in KY!

RYSE Aero Technologies’ RECON Makes TIME’s 2023 Best Inventions List

Time - October 25, 2023 - Cincinnati, OH (October 24, 2023)

RYSE Aero Technologies, a pre-revenue ultralight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle manufacturer, announced today its inclusion on TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023 list in the Transportation category. The annual list recognizes the 200 groundbreaking innovations that are making the world better, smarter, and even a bit more fun.

“We’re honored and thrilled for the RECON to be included in this list of remarkable inventions,” said Mick Kowitz, CEO of RYSE Aero Technologies. “The RECON continues to be at the forefront of the eVTOL industry, and I’m proud of the innovative work our team has accomplished.”

To compile the list, TIME solicited nominations from TIME’s editors and correspondents around the world, paying special attention to growing fields—such as the electric vehicle industry. TIME then evaluated each contender on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.

The RYSE Recon is an ultralight-eVTOL flying-vehicle capable of taking-off-and-landing on water. Operating under Part-103 of the FAA regulations, the Recon does not require a pilot-license to operate and is easy to fly, making flight accessible to all. The aircraft is currently available in U.S. markets for purchase. Multiple Recon’s have conducted over 600 flights with pilots and non-pilots alike at the helm.

The Recon’s inclusion on the TIME Best Inventions list is the latest achievement in the company’s success. In June 2022, RYSE conducted the Recon’s first-crewed-flight. Then in January 2023, RYSE made history as the first aircraft vehicle to conduct outdoor flight-demonstrations at the renowned Consumer Electronics Show (CES). These accomplishments clearly distinguish RYSE as a trailblazer in the competitive eVTOL-industry.

Customers interested in purchasing the Recon or learning more about RYSE and the vehicle can visit www.RYSEAeroTech.com. You can also connect with RYSE on social media via InstagramTwitter (X), and TikTok. About RYSE Aero Technologies:  RYSE Aero Technologies was a pre-revenue-developer and proclaimed manufacturer of electric-ultralight-vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) vehicles. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Mason, Ohio, the Company aimed to revolutionize personal air transportation with its innovative eVTOL aircraft. The company’s flagship product, the Recon, was an ultralight-eVTOL that could take-off-and-land on both land and water, providing accessibility and versatility. With claimed advanced artificial-intelligence-assistance and a user-friendly-design, the Recon was designed for easy-operation, making it accessible to a broader-range of customers.

Time-and-again I told them I was skeptical of the practicality of its use, citing my discussions with a local large-scale beans-and-rice producer at the flying-field on his property where our EAA Chapter meets annually, as I’ve discussed. (See all my previous documents discussing the practicality of the use of this eVTOL for farmers and ranchers, their primary target-market.

Here is one of my recent emails:

A room with a sign and words

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

Pictured above is the non-flying-model used in their promotional-material for their eVTOL that I had intended to donate to the S.D. Air & Space Museum. Turns out that the video of their one-and-only actual-flying-model, as still seen today on their website (RyseAerotech.com) and that induced me to give them a $5,000 deposit a year-ago, recently crashed! It turns-out that that one-and-only, actually-flying model crashed and they have since cease operations and gone belly-up!

Since they continually refuse to respond to my many, many emails, registered-letters, and countless, well-documented visits to their offices, including this most recent one where I took this photo, I am going to seize this display-model that I estimate to be worth around the $5,000 they stole from me and refuse to return after 6-months of my demands for its return or delivery of their long-promised, fully-functional production eVTOL.

My next step is I to again call the Mason OH Police Dept. (513-695-2525), with whom I have been discussing this situation, having previously informed them of my intentions, and let them know, as requested, what the opinion of KMK Law is regarding my intended actions. The last time I spoke with these folks in Mason about this, they said “they had no idea as to the legality of my intended actions, and that I should first consult with my attorney at KMK Law here in Cincinnati.”

I am tired of 6+months of this with no resolution and have already begun the Warren County Small Claims Court action with my required registered-mail-notification and demands and previous PNC-bank-certified wire-transfer of $5,000. If that court-action fails to produce anything more than a simple judgement in my favor, with a lien on that display-aircraft (pictured here), I may have to take the matter into my own hands for resolution and extract it myself and have it shipped to the S.D. Air & Space Museum for display along with the other one I already sent to them now sitting in their hangar out at the annex.

Subject: Re: Fire update 9

Wish I was there but still freezing to death here in Covington/Cincinnati.

Doing more with trying to retrieve my $5,000-deposit on the stupid Ryse-Recon I was trying to donate to the S.D. Air & Space Mus.

At least GreenStreet Autocycles that shares this same office building is still a going concern.

Here is an update from my local S.D. ultralight-group where I plan to house this eVTOL until it is ready for turnover to the S.D. Air & Space Museum to add to the other one I previously donated to them.

Hi SDUA members,

Nichols field is open and all the road-blocks are down.

The fire burned up to the runway and around Nichols field, we got
lucky this time.

Come out to Saturdays meeting, I plan on reviewing the fire with
pictures and movies.

See y’all Saturday at 10am at our Nichols Field club-house.
